Welcome to Pebbles!

My name is Gina, or Gigi, as some of my close friends like to call me. I'm a self-trained pastry chef with a passion for creating chic French-inspired pastries.

I've spent years in the fashion industry, working as a fashion editor for various glossy magazines. I've travelled the world to witness and experience some of the finest things in life, and I have always been in search of beauty, design, humour and love, or to simply put, “la joie de vivre”.

After a decade of globe-trotting, photo shooting and telling stories of many creative icons, I decided that it was time to tell my own story and share my creative journey with the world.

I have always been passionate about food, especially for French pastries since the years I've spent in Paris studying fashion. But it wasn’t until after the global pandemic that I realized I had a real passion for baking. I’m a proud mother of two and baking one birthday cake after another has led me searching for new techniques, new designs, new trends and just like that, a whole new world had opened up.

I spent many hours in the kitchen, teaching myself the craft and I also got myself into other people’s kitchens so that I could learn the industry. I love every moment spent in the kitchen, sniffing in the irresistible aroma of fresh baked financiers, popping out perfectly shaped frozen mousse from its mold, spending hours pondering over and sketching new pastry designs and testing new flavor combos.

I consider Pebbles as a type of a design studio that uses pastries as its medium to express creativity. My mission is to create pastries that please both the palate and the eyes, each one telling its own story. I believe “la joie de vivre” begins from care and love so all of my products are made fresh with seasonal ingredients and no artificial flavours or colouring.
